Chapter 8 Where do we go from here?

I’ve had such a mad, busy few weeks, I just don’t know if I’m coming or going! I’ve been thinking long and hard about where I want to go from here, do I continue to temp to see what really interest me?! Is it Financial services, Gaming, Sales, Business development, HR – I’m still not sure. I’ve really enjoyed temping immensely, it’s opened my eyes to a realm of possibilities open to me. I’ve met some super people too and enhanced my network of contacts, oh and friends! Good thing is tempsinmalta also have some spectacular permanent positions too – lots of mulling over my future me thinks!

tempsinmalta are always keeping me abreast of new vacancies, whether they are interim or permanent. There’s a job in HR which really does interest me and it’s closely linked to my degree so I’m having a good think about asking them to put me forward. I firstly need to make sure it’s what I want though, I do not wish to waste the agencies time or their clients. That reminds me! I was temping at a company just the other day and it was absolutely unbelievable how many people just do not bother turning up for interview OR are super late and then just brush it off like it’s ‘one of those things’, well I can tell you, being on the other side, so to speak, and seeing how the client reacted was quite something. It’s clearly wasting their time but it also kind of ‘blots ones copy book’ so to speak. If you ever wish to work there, whether it’s in the future or sooner, then you’d be very much ‘not welcomed’, I’m quite sure of it. Why do people do that?! They know they have an appointment, yet they fail to see that it’s no only common courtesy but a indication of your character if you fail to turn up or turn up late!

I’ve a zillion and one things to do today, so I really must make sure my timesheet is sent off to the agency in time and then I need to reassess where I go from here! I think I’ll have another chat with the team at tempsinmalta to talk through my options, it’s always super helpful to have their advice and opinon! Ta ta for now chaps and chapesses !
